Super Cows on Steroids?

Super Cow on Steroids? The Barry Bonds of Bulls? The gigantic super cows are massive and full of muscle like advanced body builders.

You've heard the expression, everything is bigger in Texas, well that isn't true in the small country of Belgium. These Super Cows or better known as The Belgian Blue Bulls are genetically mated cows that scientist farmers have been working on for years. Using natural selection, they are able to artificially inseminate cows with scientifically selected sperm from the strongest bulls.

No steroids here. Each generation of new cows become bigger and stronger with double muscle mass for leaner and better beef.

this leaves me wondering 2 things, but first
I put some links to a national geographic video and some other articles I've read on these super cows if you want to check 'em out.

How much healthier is this super cow meat vs regular cows and does it actually taste better? I would think it would make a REALLY TOUGH STEAK... no pun intended.

  2. Nevermind the meat. What about the cow? She has the right to have a life just like any other animal. No, they created her out of thin air for the sake of turning her into a product to be sold on the shelves of your local supermarket. That is cruel to the core. She has the right to live a normal life and to be free just like any other animal.

    2. What is wrong with having a stronger cow? She will have the same life as her ancestors. Cruel to the core are you living on the same planet as me? We raise cows for both food and milk this cow could revolutionize the market there is nothing cruel about trying to create a healthier stronger cow that produces more meat.

  4. CRAZY, STUPID IDE:
Why is leaner better? Good animal fat (from grass fed cows) is full of Omega 3 EFAs, CLA and all kinds of vital nutrients.

    1. There is not much difference from this cow to any other cow except they were artificially bred for certain traits, this shows a fantastic use of evolution to produce a cow that has more meat, compared to it's ancestors. Their is nothing crazy or stupid, in fact this is super smart, because this cow may produce twice the meat of a regular cow and that is fantastic. If we can produce cows like this and get a 1 to 2 ratio. This could cut costs and more importantly land use. I suspect you don't understand all the aspects and how awesome this truly is.

  5. Well, I'm from Belgium and not every Belgian Blue is that massive!
Anyway, a cow like this is healthier than a cow full of hormones.

  6. Any thing that is genetically modified is not good for you. Eating that GMO junk can cause your own cells to mutate. That's why there is a high rate of cancer now.
