I don't understand how ginger, turmeric, berries, cherries, celery, cayenne pepper, dark leafy greens, and nuts (especially walnuts) can reduce pain. I am all for eliminating drugs, but what quantities of each of these will reduce pain at the same level as a single pill of hydrocodone? I would love to be able to experience real relief from pain with this much more natural approach if it is possible, but I don't believe it is. While this is a great suggestion, and I believe some of these may be possible, you are talking about real medicine for real problems (some of those listed here can be life threatening without treatment) and making these unfounded claims could land someone who doesn't do their due diligence in a pretty bad spot.
ReplyDeleteRead Dr. Joel Furhman's book, Eat to Live. People have turned their heart disease, blood pressure, cholesterol pain, diabetes around. I myself have dropped 27 lbs and have improved my hypothyroid condition so much my doc has had to lower my meds. Most of the foods recommended are on this page. This is a good article. I think I'll print out the picture and post it on my fridge.
